Forres Skate Park Initiative (SCIO) formed in 2020 to develop a all-wheeled sports facility for Forres. There is a lack of a suitable all wheeled sports facility locally and many potential park users are practicing their skills on pavements and other areas not suitable for such activities.

We aims to provide a dedicated all wheeled sports facility that will be a top-quality, free-to-use sports facility for people of all ages and abilities from Forres and the surrounding areas.

Olympic Sport

Local and global interest in wheeled sports such as skateboarding is growing but with Skateboarding first appearance in the Olympics in Tokyo 2021 and British skateboard Sky Brown (Aged 13 in 2021) winning Bronze in those games, interest in wheeled sports has seen a further increase in young and old people taking up the sport.

PEOPLE COME AND GO BUT PARKS CONTINUE TO BE USED

Livingston Skate Park (Livi) is an example of how a skate park lasts and continues with next generation of skaters using the park some 40 years later. Find out more about Livi Skate Park and its history by clicking here
