Following an initial public consultation back in 2021 where over 750 people responded to an online survey Grant Park was announced in 2022 as our preferred location for the skate park to be built. Before Covid-19 the cost of the build was going to be £350,000 but due to inflation and rising costs its now looking at around £750,000

This image of the eastern corner of Grant Park shows the proposed footprint of the skatepark.
A 10m perimeter has been accounted for around the tree line on three sides of the skatepark area.
It is clear of the standard flagpole location and still supports event seating on top of the ‘bumps’.
The site provides opportunities for additional car parking beside Forres Squash Club, without the need to remove any trees.
The site would also be easily accessible for ground works equipment and vehicles.

This is close to the playpark, kiosk, toilets, water and electrical power sources.
