Forres Skate Park Initiative (FSPI) was formed in 2019 with the help of Forres Area Community Trust, the group consisted of a small number of local people who had the idea of building a permanent skate park after the one behind the Forres Academy was sadly closed in 2006. This closure resulted in many young people having to travel to parks elsewhere or use makeshift jumps in car parks or on the streets in order to socialise and progress their skills.

Since then a dedicated group of local people have been working hard to progress the project and have made significant steps towards achieving the dream of building an all-inclusive, all-wheeled sports facility for people of all ages and abilities in Forres.

Progress to date:

• FSPI is now a registered charity with OSCR
• Completed an extensive community consultation - Click Here
• Carried out a feasbility study - Click Here
• Completed concept design and produced CAD drawings - Click Here
• Community Asset Transfer (CAT) is underway to acquire the ground for the park.

What we need now:

• Funding to build the park!
